O’Brien Construction completed the renovation and expansion of the American Red Cross Kennewick Collection Center, consolidating services into a single, owned facility to better serve the Tri-Cities region.
The approximately $1.2 million project included upgrades to the existing building and the addition of fixed blood donation services, replacing the former Richland donation center. The updated facility improves donor flow, privacy, and comfort, with dedicated areas for health screenings and recovery.
In addition to blood collection, the Kennewick center supports the Red Cross’s disaster response efforts, with space designated for emergency supplies and casework operations. The completed project enhances operational efficiency while improving the experience for donors, staff, and volunteers.
