It all began in 1973 when Thomas M. O’Brien started O’Brien Construction, one of the fastest growing pre-fab steel construction businesses in the Mid-Columbia area.
Since 1973, we’ve stayed true to what Thomas O’Brien first set out to be—an honest, quality-driven, reliable contractor. We have always been a Design-Build firm, offering services in four key markets: Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural and Development. Hard work, an innovative spirit, and a commitment to our values have helped us grow into one of the largest professional construction firms in the Pacific Northwest.
“I firmly believe that a satisfied customer is the best form of advertising, and I credit our success to an all-out effort to do so.”
~ Thomas O’Brien
In addition to regional work, our construction experience extended to complex international projects. O’Brien Construction performed work in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East from 1978 through 1985. Our projects in Libya were working with Food Development Corporation (F.D.C.) on Maknussa, Wadi-aril, Sedha 500 cow dairy project, and 70,000-ton onion storage in Tripoli and Benghazi.
